EFEKTIVITAS PAKAN MANDIRI DENGAN BERBAGAI TINGKAT PEMBERIAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN LOBSTER AIR TAWAR (CHERAX QUADRICARINATUS)

Abstract


This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of homemade feed with different feeding rates on the growth of freshwater lobster (cherax quadricarinatus). The experiment was conducted for 40 days using a completely randomized design with four feeding rate treatments, namely 3%, 5%, 7%, and 9% of biomass, each with four replications. Observed parameters included survival rate, absolute weight gain, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and feed efficiency. The results showed that a feeding rate of 3% produced the best growth performance and feed efficiency. Higher feeding rates tended to reduce feed utilization efficiency and environmental quality. It can be concluded that a 3% feeding rate is the most effective and efficient level for optimal growth of freshwater lobster.
