IMPLEMENTASI NILAI-NILAI ETNOPEDAGOGI DALAM KESENIAN JARANAN SENTHEREWE SEBAGAI SUMBER PEMBELAJARAN SENI BUDAYA DI SMA DI KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG

Abstract


This study aims to describe the implementation of ethnopedagogical values contained in the art of Jaranan Sentherewe and its potential as a source of cultural arts learning at the high school level. Jaranan Sentherewe, as a form of traditional art unique to Tulungagung, not only provides entertainment but also contains educational values such as mutual cooperation, discipline, teamwork, respect for ancestors, and wisdom regarding nature. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of artists, arts and culture teachers, and students at SMA Negeri 1 Pakel in Tulungagung Regency. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that Jaranan Sentherewe art can be used as a contextual learning resource that contains local cultural values. The ethnopedagogical values contained therein are able to support the character building of students in accordance with national education objectives. The implementation of this art in Cultural Arts learning can be done through appreciation activities, dance practice, and introduction to elements of local culture that are relevant to students' lives
