PENGARUH SUBTITUSI TEPUNG DAUN KELOR (Moringa Oleifera) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN AYAM BROILER

Abstract


This study aimed to evaluate the effect of substituting moringa leaf flour (Moringa oleifera) in feed on the growth performance of broiler chickens, including feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion, and feed efficiency. The study lasted for four weeks. The study design used a completely randomised design (CRD) with four treatments, namely P0 (100% commercial feed), P1 (97% commercial feed + 3% moringa leaf flour), P2 (94% commercial feed + 6% moringa leaf flour), and P3 (91% commercial feed + 9% moringa leaf flour), each with four replicates. The study used 64 Day-Old Chicken (DOC) broiler chickens. Four treatments and four replications were used, resulting in 16 experimental units. Each experimental unit contained four chickens, with 16 chickens in each treatment (p0, p1, p2, and p3).The results showed that the addition of moringa leaf flour in the feed did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on all parameters observed. Based on these results, the substitution of moringa leaf flour was not able to significantly improve the growth performance of broiler chickens. Further research is recommended with a longer rearing period or different moringa leaf processing methods to improve digestibility and effectiveness.
