PENGARUH KONSELING GIZI OLEH TENAGA PUSKESMAS TERHADAP POLA MAKAN SEHAT DIKALANGAN ANAK USIA SEKOLAH KECAMATAN KUTABARO
Abstract
Background: Stunting prevention can actually start earlier, namely preparing adolescent girls to become healthy adult women, so that they are ready to become pregnant and have offspring, one way is by maintaining a good diet. In connection with this, it is also very important to make efforts to prevent stunting among adolescents by providing counseling on improving a good diet. Objective: To analyze the effect of nutrition counseling on adolescents' diet in preventing stunting at SD Negeri 1 kuta baro.Method: This research design uses a quasi-experimental design that aims to analyze the effect of nutritional counseling on adolescent diet in the prevention of stunting. The sample in this study were 44 respondents who were divided into 2, namely the intervention group and the control group. To determine the difference in food variety, food frequency, nutritional adequacy rate, diet before and after counseling, McNemar statistical test was conducted because the data was nominal scale while to see the effectiveness of counseling on food variety, food frequency, nutritional adequacy rate, diet, Mann-Whitney test was conducted on pre-post difference data between intervention group and control group. Results: The results showed that counseling had no effect on food variety (p value = 0.534), food frequency (p value = 0.867), nutritional adequacy rate (p value = 0.392) and diet (p value = 0.304) both in the intervention group and control group before and after counseling
