FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEJADIAN BAYI BERAT LAHIR RENDAH DI RS PERTAMEDIKA UMMMI ROSNATI
Abstract
Low Birth Weight Infants (LBWI) continue to be a complex issue and receive special attention in various countries. This is because low birth weight infants have a higher risk of mortality compared to infants born with a birth weight >2500 g. WHO states that around 96% of LBW cases occur in developing countries. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the incidence of LBW in Pertamedika Ummi Rosnati Hospital. The research method used a case-control study with a sample of 100 mothers who gave birth. The research results show that factors such as maternal age, pregnancy history, nutritional status, and pregnancy complications significantly affect the incidence of low birth weight. This research contributes to the development of strategies for preventing and reducing the risk of low birth weight, as well as improving the quality of maternal and child healthcare services.
