The morbidity and mortality rates in infants and children are mostly caused by diarrhea. This is due to the inappropriate application of clean and healthy living behavior to toddlers, where this behavior depends on the mother's clean and healthy living behavior because toddlers still cannot do everything by themselves. The aim is to determine the relationship between maternal clean and healthy living behavior and the incidence of diarrhea in 5 years in Gampong Bak Buloh, Kutabaro District. Correlational analytical research design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was 67 people, obtained from the average value of monthly inpatient visits in the sapphire room in the last 6 months in 2023. The sampling technique used simple random sampling of 40 respondents. The instrument uses the PHBS questionnaire and the incidence of diarrhea. Data were analyzed using the Spearman test. The research results show that the better the mother's PHBS, the lower the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. The Spearman test shows that there is a significant relationship between maternal healthy living behavior and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers  = 0.000 (< α = 0.05). The implication of this research is that mothers' clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) is related to the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers, so that nurses in Gampong Bak Buloh, Kutabaro District can provide health promotion to patient mothers on how to implement PHBS correctly, and diarrhea will no longer occur in toddlers.
