HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TEMAN SEBAYA DENGAN KECEMASAN MENJELANG UJIAN AKHIR BLOK DI PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER
Abstract
Social support can be interpreted as a form of comfort, attention, or assistance received by someone from others, either individually or in groups. This study aims to determine the relationship between peer social support and anxiety before the final block exam in the Medical Education study program. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive-analytical survey research design using a cross-sectional research approach. The study was conducted in May 2024. The sample in this study used a cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 107 respondents. questionnaires, and anxiety level questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out in this study using univariate, bivariate, and statistical testing using Spearman correlation. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between peer support for students before the block exam, with a p-value = 0.001 <0.05. The majority of students' anxiety levels before the block exam were in the moderate category. Peer support for students before the block exam was in the moderate category. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that medical students provide support from peers by giving time to listen to something, advising, and providing motivation so that they can complete the block exam well.
