Abstract


This study aims to determine the prevalence of herpes zoster sufferers at RSPUR Banda Aceh. This research was taken from medical records of patients with a diagnosis of herpes zoster at RSPUR Banda Aceh for the period 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2019. This research is descriptive categorical. Samples were taken in total sampling amounting to 76 patients. The research population was all patients who visited the Sexually Transmitted Diseases clinic at RSPUR Banda Aceh for the 2016-2019 period, amounting to 1221 patients. The prevalence of herpes zoster sufferers was found to be 6.22%. The distribution of sufferers was male (48.6%) and female (51.4%). The largest distribution of Herpes zoster sufferers is in the age group 23-27 years (31.4%), high school graduates (38.6%), and not working (35.7%).
