Pengaruh Media Sosial terhadap Pencegahan "Smartphone Addiction" pada anak sekolah SMP Abulyatama
Abstract
The rapid development of smartphone hardware and software, along with increasingly sophisticated applications and features, is becoming more available and can be easily used to meet the lifestyle needs of society. However, considering their ease of use and internet capabilities, smartphones have the potential to cause social problems as a significant characteristic of smartphone addiction, which includes symptoms such as tolerance issues, difficulty in performing daily activities, or impulse control disorders. The result of this community service is that the activity to increase knowledge about smartphone addiction among students provides knowledge about the prevention of smartphone addiction at SMP Abulyatama, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar Regency, which can enhance students' understanding of the influence of social media on gadget addiction. The activity to increase knowledge about smartphone addiction was conducted using lecture and question-and-answer discussion methods and Increasing students' knowledge about the influence of social media and how to use social media properly is expected to enable students to apply it in their daily lives, thereby avoiding smartphone addiction.
