Glaucoma is a condition of chronic optic neuropathy that is characterized by a concave optic (optic lobe) of the optic disc and a reduction in the field of view accompanied by an increase in intraocular pressure. The level of adherence is the level of behavior of an individual who carries out medical or health advice that routinely controls of treatment in accordance with the instructions on the prescription and includes its use in a timely manner. This study is attempting to determine the effect of the level of adherence in the success of therapy at RSUD Meuraxa in 2018. This study design is descriptive and using a cross-sectional study approach, the number of samples 75 respondents was taken using total sampling technique . The data collection tool uses medical record of glaucoma patients in 2018 and data were analyzed by bivariate. The results of this study can be concluded that there is no effect on the level of adherence to the control of glaucoma sufferers on the success of therapy. This can be shown in the p-value of the right eye vision (0.940), left eye vision (0.349) and p-value in the intraocular pressure ie right eye IOP (0.311) and left eye IOP ( 0.183). It is expected that the Hospital of Meuraxa to make medical record data as detailed as possible so as to minimize errors in the provision of therapy for patients with glaucoma.
