PERAN GURU DALAM MEMBIMBING SISWA DALAM MEMANFAATKAN TIK DI PONPES NURUL IZZAH KECAMATAN SUNGAI RUMBAI

Abstract


This research is motivated by the importance of guiding the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Islamic boarding schools. The rapid development of technology demands the integration of ICT with Islamic values, but it also poses challenges in shaping students' responsible character. Therefore, the role of teachers is crucial as guides and educators in integrating ICT with Islamic values in the Islamic boarding school environment. This research is a qualitative study using a descriptive approach. The study was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Izzah, Sungai Rumbai District, Dharmasraya Regency. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of teachers, students, and pesantren administrators. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and the validity of the data was ensured using source and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that Nurul Izzah Islamic Boarding School has comprehensively utilized Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning, communication, and administration. Teachers employ educational strategies, direct supervision, exemplary behavior, continuous guidance, and collaboration with parents and school administrators to guide students. The utilization of ICT has had a significant impact, making students more adaptive to technology, teachers more accessible to information, and the boarding school more open and well-known to the wider community.
