PENGETAHUAN SISWA SMP TERHADAP FUNGSI DAN PERAN UKS DI SEKOLAH KECAMATAN KRUENG BARONA JAYA

Abstract


The School Health Business (UKS) has an important role in fostering healthy schools. The triad of UKS main programs are health education efforts, health services and creating a living environment in schools. the efforts of various parties, especially the school, in developing the roles and functions of UKS are the main factors determining the success of UKS. SMP KECEMATAN KRUENG BARONA JAYA UKS seems to be not working, the problem is the lack of UKS learning in schools, incomplete supporting infrastructure, the process of implementing PHBS, teachers are not provided with sufficient training on good PHBS practices in accordance with UKS rules/guidelines, lack of interest in and understanding of UKS, and low awareness students in implementing PHBS in accordance with UKS rules in everyday life. This service aims to increase the understanding and ability of UKS supervisor teachers, teachers and students towards UKS, PHBS and P3K in schools so that they can improve the health status of school residents. This Community Service activity was carried out at . SMP KECEMATAN KRUENG BARONA JAYA with a series of activities, namely providing explanations or knowledge related to the concepts of UKS, PHBS and First Aid at school. The methods used are lectures, discussions, questions and answers and filling out questionnaires. The result of this service is the desire of students to start caring about their environment, the enthusiasm of students at . SMP KECEMATAN KRUENG BARONA JAYA in a series of activities starting from PHBS health education, an understanding of how to create healthy schools is carried out through: socialization about the role of UKS in fostering healthy schools to participants education, mentoring and follow-up planning for school students to make clean and healthy life changes such as implementing PHBS in schools, to mutual cooperation activities to maintain the cleanliness of the school environment. It is recommended that schools can improve good practice of PHBS through students' high interest and understanding of UKS in each elementary school in accordance with UKS guidelines and rules. This is so that UKS can play an active role in fostering healthy schools.
