Hubungan Sikap Dengan Perilaku Ibu Tentang Pencegahan Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut (ISPA) Pada Balita di Gampong Lam Lumpu Kecamatan Peukan Bada Aceh Besar

Abstract

Upper respiratory tract infections may cause various illnesses ranging from asymptomatic disease to severe and fatal illness, depending on the cause. This disease becomes one of the serious health problems especially in children aged 1-5 years and is the cause of child mortality in developing countries. From the data of children under five who had Acute Respiratory Infection(ARI) fromthe midwives of Gampong Lam Lumpu Peukan Bada Aceh Besar, there are 74 patients who seek treatment in 2015 and 32 patients treated in 2017. Every month there are 1-3 children with ARI. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of attitude with mother behavior about prevention of Acute Respiratory Infection in Gampong Lam Lumpu Sub Peukan Bada Aceh Besar 2017. The research design used is descriptive correlation with the number of samples of 53 mothers who have children 1-5 years. The sampling usedthe Slovin formula with sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted from December 13 to 19, 2017 by distributing questionnaires. The results showed that there was a relationship between attitude and mother behavior about prevention of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) in Gampong Lam Lumpu Sub Peukan Bada Aceh Besar Year 2017 with p-value 0,023.
