PENGARUH ASUPAN PROTEIN ZAT BESI DAN STATUS GIZI PADA KALANGAN MAHASISWA

Abstract


This study aims to evaluate the ergonomics of dental chairs and their impact on the work productivity of dentists at Puskesmas Blang Geulumpang, North Aceh District. Good ergonomics in the design of medical equipment, including dental chairs, is essential to prevent musculoskeletal injuries and improve work comfort. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach, which involves in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of dentists working at the health center. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to explore dentists' experiences, perceptions, and views regarding the comfort and ease of use of dental chairs, as well as their influence on work efficiency. Direct observation was conducted to analyze the dentists' body position and working posture while using the dental chair, as well as their interaction with the tool. Documentation included notes on the physical condition of the dental chair, available features, the age of the tool, and any damage that might affect its functionality. The results showed that the existing dental chair had constraints on the height adjustment mechanism that were difficult to operate, which impacted on the dentist's work efficiency. Although there are no significant physical complaints at present, non-ergonomic working postures may increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders in the future. This study is expected to provide recommendations for improved dental chair design to increase work comfort and efficiency, and prevent musculoskeletal disorders in dentists, thereby supporting productivity and better quality of care for patients.
