Analisis Penerapan Perilaku PHBS dengan Jamban Sehat di Kecamatan Meurah Mulia Kabupaten Aceh Utara

Abstract


Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an effort to create a healthy environment by ensuring that every individual or family member practices health behaviors, so they can actively participate in community health activities. According to the 2018 Basic Health Research Data, the average correct behavior in defecation among the Indonesian population reached 88.2%. Meanwhile, for Aceh Province, the proportion of correct defecation behavior is 82.5%, which is below the national average of 88.2%. Banda Aceh City ranks first with a proportion of correct defecation behavior reaching 98.98%, while the lowest proportion of correct urination behavior is in Southwest Aceh Regency at 57.17%. In North Aceh Regency, the correct defecation behavior proportion is 76.26%. This study aims to identify and analyze the application of PHBS with the use of healthy toilets in Meurah Mulia District, North Aceh Regency. The method used in this research is Descriptive Analysis, with a sample population of 376 households using simple random sampling techniques. The results of the study showed that the majority of the community in Meurah Mulia District, North Aceh Regency, has implemented clean and healthy living behaviors using healthy toilets, with a good category reaching 95.5%. PHBS is a set of behaviors practiced based on awareness as a result of learning, enabling individuals, families, groups, or communities to take care of their health and actively contribute to community health. Considering that health is an essential aspect of human life, it requires the role of all parties to continuously foster public awareness, particularly in Meurah Mulia District, North Aceh Regency, to always implement clean and healthy living behaviors in their daily lives.
